The QualificationThe qualifications you will be trained for are the level 1 & 2 qualifications awarded through BASI - The British Association of Snowsports Instructors. (www.basi.org.uk)BASI logo

The syllabus for the BASI 1 & 2 takes on the following form:
  • One week BASI Level 1 instructor course
  • Child Protection Workshop
  • BASP First Aid Course
  • Two week BASI teaching and technical exam 'Instructor Training'
The qualifications are thorough and demanding asking much of your personal skiing, demonstrative and teaching skills.

It's value is proven through it's wide recognition and acceptance throughout the globe. The BASI 1 offers work opportunities in Europe and the BASI 2 offers ski instructing opportunities in Switzerland, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Andorra, America, Canada amongst other places.

The various stages are integrated into the course with the BASP and BASI 1 course being early on followed by an extensive training period culminating in the BASI 2 exam fortnight at the end.
